Ghanaian Mom (49) and daughter (26) both graduate as Doctors on the same day 🎉🎉🎊🎊

Cynthia (Mom) was a senior at Tulane University when she became pregnant with Jasmine (daughter), and her hope of attending medical school seemed to be in jeopardy.

Here's their story as told by Jasmine on https://lnkd.in/d8-czzm "My mom and I are both going to be doctors! I can’t believe we matched into residency at the same time.

I am most proud of my Mom, Cynthia Kudji, who also matched today at LSU in Family Medicine 💜💛🙌🏾.

She began her medical career as a CNA at the age of 23 as a single mother. She then went on to become an RN.

Years later she became a Nurse Practitioner, and now she has finally achieved her dream of becoming a Family Medicine Physician.

This woman is unstoppable, unwavering, compassionate, and an inspiration to all, especially to me.

Having my mother by my side through these trying years of medical school has made this journey so much more bearable, and I couldn’t imagine going through medical school or life without her.

I’m so unbelievably proud of my mom, and I can’t wait to begin residency together at LSU. "
