President of policy think tank IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has joined the debate on how over 1000 patients recovered overnight from the novel coronavirus in Ghana.

Ghana Health Service in the latest update on COVID-19 on its website said Ghana’s recovered patients are now 1,754.
The sharp rise in the number of recovered patients has left several Ghanaians and especially the opposition NDC in a state of shock with some beginning to question the credibility of the figures churned out.
Most Ghanaians are of the believe that the government has cooked up the numbers.
The latest to join the debate is IMANI Ghana’s Franklin Cudjoe who is also shocked by the miracle happening in Ghana.
Expressing his views on the sudden sharp rise in numbers, Mr. Cudjoe said in a tweet that “Grateful to our COVID-19 managers. But were the 1000+ overnight recoveries all at one prayer camp? Since the Pentecost day in the New Testament, and the feeding of the 5,000 by Jesus never have so many been miraculously healed. There is a God! Grateful to our COVID-19 managers. But were the 1000+ overnight recoveries all at one prayer camp?
Since the Pentecost day in the New Testament, and the feeding of the 5,000 by Jesus never have so many been miraculously healed. There is a God!”

Ghana’s case count is now 5,735. The country’s death toll seems to be on a steady rise as it stands at 29 in the latest update provided by the Ghana Health Service.
Greater Accra leads as the region with the most recorded number of cases followed by the Ashanti and Central regions.
Out of sixteen regions in the country, thirteen have recorded cases of the deadly COVID-19.
